I had to force myself to stop eating this…literally, I had to make myself put the lid on the jar and place it in the fridge!  So, consider yourself warned…

This Low Carb Hot Fudge takes about 5 minutes to make, tastes amazing and is going to brighten up your holidays, I promise.  It is heavenly in coffee or right from the jar with a spoon (or your finger!) Slathered it on just about anything you can think of.  Try it as “frosting”, use it to make chocolate milk, put it on ice cream, the sky’s the limit.

Making Hot Fudge is a holiday tradition for me and since I am living by the Trim Healthy Mama way of life I was wondering how I was going to still enjoy this treat.  Then it dawned on me, I could adapt my  tried and true Hot Fudge recipe and make it low carb, guess what?  It worked, and I can hardly tell the two recipes apart, perfect!

I hope this Low Carb Hot Fudge brightens up your Christmas Season as much as it does mine…now, gotta go find that jar…just one more taste!!!

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 c xylitol
  • 3 Tbs. dutch processed cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla

Hot Fudge

In a small sauce pan melt the butter and xylitol, stirring it together.  Whisk in the cocoa powder.

Once it is combined stir in 1/4 cup heavy cream.

Bring just to a boil and remove from heat.  Add 1/4 tsp. vanilla and stir.

Let cool on the stove and then store in a jar in the refrigerator, heat up for a few seconds in the microwave to soften and enjoy!
