My crock pot has been working around the clock this week! I just can’t seem to get it off my counter, but I guess it’s the crock pot time if year, isn’t it? There’s something comforting and very fall-ish about using the crock pot and boy does it make life easier at dinner time!
My Asian Fusion Pork Chops have been a huge hit on the blog and here we go with another pork chop recipe that uses the crock pot, Chinese Pork Chops. The sauce is a sweet and sour sauce and it is easy to whip together in a few minutes. It goes great with a side of rice to soak up the flavor. Enjoy your crock pot this fall!
- 4-6 pork chops

1 14oz. can tomato sauce

1/2 can water

8 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 cup red wine vinegar

1/2 cup lemon juice

1 cup honey

1/4 cup cilantro

2 Tbs. prepared mustard

1 onion, sliced thin

1 peper, sliced thin

3 Tbs. cornstarch
- 4-6 pork chops
- 1 14oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 can water
- 8 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup honey
- 1/4 cup cilantro
- 2 Tbs. prepared mustard
- 1 onion, sliced thin
- 1 peper, sliced thin
- 3 Tbs. cornstarch
Chinese Pork Chops
Place the chops on the base of your crock pot.
In a medium bowl mix together the tomato sauce, water, garlic, vinegar, lemon juice, honey, cilantro, and mustard. Pour the sauce over the pork chops and top with the sliced onion and pepper.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours, depending on the thickness of the chops. For 1 inch thick chops 4 1/2 hours is about the right amount of time. Two hours before serving mix the cornstarch with a few tablespoons of water and incorporate with the sauce to thicken. Enjoy topped with additional cilantro.
