I’ve done a lot of cooking lately, but not a lot of creating. I don’t want to put just any recipe up here for you guys, I want it to be good. This weekend I made two awesome recipes, but neither of them were my own. Then I got to thinking, you might want to see what I’m cooking (and the great recipes I’m finding) even if they aren’t mine. We all know there are so many wonderful food blogs out there to follow and I always love being introduced to a new one.
This weekend I was blessed to celebrate my sister in-loves 30th birthday! I got to make her celebratory meal. It consisted of a few of her favorite things, LOTS of veggies (roasted and raw), plus lamb, and bread pudding for dessert. I had never cooked a lamb roast or made bread pudding so I was really excited! Everything turned out wonderfully, plus she felt blessed, it was good all the way around. The bread pudding recipe I used is worth sharing. After reviewing many recipes I settled on the Bourbon Bread Pudding from BrownEyedBaker.com, she never disappoints me!
After a day of cleaning, cooking, and correcting my kids (Saturday) I was ready to get out and have fun today and guess what? The weather cooperated! We had a nice family hike and enjoyed some great animal sightings (toad, woodpecker, rabbit, and lots of slugs!) When we got home I was excited to try a new recipe from SweetAnnas.com, of course it was wonderful. Her new Sweet Potato Coconut Chicken Curry is so delicious! I hope you give it a try, you’ll hope there are leftovers for lunch the next day.
I hope you had a great weekend and happy cooking to you!
