Do you ever feel like you want to “dress up” your dinner? Sometimes I want to take something normal and make it seem special, that’s what this compound butter does. This butter is easily made, stores for weeks in the fridge or months in the freezer, and can be put on just about anything!
I love the strong flavor of bleu cheese, but that hasn’t always been the case. When I was growing up I hated it. My dad has been a bleu cheese fan as long as I can remember and my mom used to buy bleu cheese dressing a gallon at a time, I just didn’t get it, but now I do! I’m not sure when I started liking bleu cheese, but once I was converted I never turned back.
This compound butter is great because you can make something “plain” for those boring people in the house and then use the butter dress it up for the rest. It is great on meat, veggies, bread, seafood, mushrooms…the list could go on and on. Some of my favorite recipes to pair it with are Roasted Broccoli, Basic Burger Patties, Roasted Red Potatoes, Easy Focaccia Bread, and Basic Quinoa.

Hi Cory, just wanted to let you know that yesterday I was planning on making top sirloins with balsamic glazed caramelized onions and then broiling blue cheese crumbles on top. Then your blue cheese compound butter popped up, so I thought I would try it instead. Oh my goodness it is so GREAT! My whole family was in blue cheese heaven. Thank you.
