What is there not to love about peanut butter and chocolate together?  Nothing…at least not in this house!  These cookies are so chewy, tender, delicious, and guess what, there isn’t any flour in them!?!  When you bite into their delicious goodness you’ll never want to add flour to peanut butter cookies again!

I made this batch match the season by pushing red and green M&M’s in the top, but they are great with mini chocolate chips mixed into the batter instead.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies, Gluten Free

Adapted from joythebaker.com

  • 1 cup natural peanut butter, smooth or crunchy
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup dutch cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or M&M's

Preheat the oven to 350 and grease 2 cookies sheets.

Using a mixer combine the peanut butter and sugar, beat for 2 minutes or until well combined.  Add the eggs, cocoa powder, baking soda, and vanilla, mix for another 2 minutes.  Stir in the mini chocolate chips.

Scoop onto the cookie sheet, making 1 tablespoon sized balls.  Press M&M’s in the top of each ball before baking (optional.)

Bake for 10 minutes and then remove from the oven.  Allow to cool on the cookie sheet (if you can resist from putting one directly into your mouth!)  Store in an airtight container on the counter.
